Sony has slashed the price for its Xperia X and Xperia Z5 Premium smartphones in India. The Xperia X, which was earlier priced at Rs. 48,990, will now be available at Rs. 38,990. The Xperia Z5 Premium is now available at 47,990, which is Rs. 8,000 less than its initial price of Rs. 55,990. These new prices will be effective from this month onwards. This price-cut comes just a few days before Apple is scheduled to unveil the next generation of iPhones.
To recall, the Sony Xperia X was launched in India a few months ago. The device offers a 5-inch Full HD display and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 SoC with 3GB of RAM. It comes with 23MP and 13MP cameras, and is equipped with a 2620mAh battery. Further, the phone offers 64GB of inbuilt storage that can be expanded by up to 200GB.
The Sony Xperia Z5 Premium was launched in India almost a year ago and is the only smartphone in India to offer a 4K display. It is powered by a Snapdragon 810 SoC with 3GB of RAM. it's equipped with a 3430mAh battery and offers 32GB of storage. It houses a 23MP rear, and 5MP front camera.
