Microsoft Accelerator to back AI and machine-learning startups

ENGALURU: Microsoft Accelerator has started its tenth accelerator programme with a batch of 14 startups in the field of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning, catering to enterprises rather than consumers.

The startups include LetsTransport, a last mile logistics company, Acebot, a chatbot that performs tasks on workplace messaging system Slack, healthcare analytics venture Tricog, and Mumbai-based vPhrase Analytics Solutions, which has an AI-based data analytics platform.

The startups have average revenue and funding of $900,000 and $2.5 million respectively, Bala Girisaballa, CEO in residence of Microsoft Accelerator India, said.

All the startups were selected on parameters such as being founded by serial entrepreneurs with technology and domain expertise; deep-tech products and a high level of traction. Microsoft has one of the most robust and long-standing accelerator programmes in the country.
