2018 Jeep Wrangler rear portion spied

Our spy photographers spotted the next-generation Jeep Wrangler doing the rounds with the rear cladding unzipped. This reveals some parts of the prototype’s rear section despite being camouflaged. Although the design elements of the tail lamps are evident, sources state that these may probably not be of the final design since a leaked dealer presentation showed LEDs bordering the tail light unit.

Furthermore, we also noticed that the rear wind screen has hinges at the top. This essentially means that the new layout would allow a user to access the boot by just opening the glass. And, this would be in addition to a separate sideways-opening tail gate. The upcoming Wrangler with four doors will be offered with an array of roof configurations. These include a soft top, a hard top and also a version with removable panels that has been spied earlier.
Reports claim that the Wrangler will be launched with a 3.6-litre V6 and a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine. While automatic gearboxes will be standard, V6 buyers will have the choice to opt for a manual gearbox too. The next-gen Wrangler is speculated to debut at the 2017 Los Angeles Auto Show on 1 December, so stay tuned for more information.
